MUSIC: Carrie Manolakos' 'Creep' Video Goes Viral

We’re a bit late in sharing this, but if you haven’t already seen Carrie Manolakos’ ridiculous (in the best way) cover of Radiohead’s “Creep,” watch it. Now.
Recorded live during her recent set at New York’s Le Poisson Rouge, Manolakos breathes new life into the song and reminds us what made it great in the first place, and folks are taking notice.
The New Yorker, Huffington Post, Refinery 29, and several others have reported on the video since its April debut. Alec Baldwin tweeted, “They should put Carrie Manolakos on GIRLS,” to which the show’s producer Judd Apatow replied, “…hard to imagine we don’t just do exactly what @alecbaldwin tells us to do.”
Thanks in large part to the buzz around the video—which is approaching 1 million views—, her debut album, Echo, made it into the iTunes Pop Top Ten in its first week of release.
Manolakos was previously best known for her theatre work on Broadway and in tours of Mamma Mia! and Wicked.
